In and around any barn, springtime can be chaotic. There may be muddy blankets everywhere with upcoming horse shows, injured horses or horse kids for getting out of school; the barn can be quickly disorganized. Specifically, the tack room can lose all organization in just matter of minutes. So for combating those issues, we came up with few hacks for organizing the tack room with the right tack room equipment.
1. Color Coding
For organizing tack for multiple horses, try giving each horse a definite color. One can use color-coded ties of zip and duck tapes for differentiating each horse items (blankets, tack, boots and buckets). One can have the horses regularly use by kids, one can tell them what the color to use is.
2. Hanging Shoe Organizers
One needs a different bit for rummaging out through box trying to find it. Try purchasing a shoe organizer and then place different types if bits in various shoe pockets. With extra shoe pockets, one can use them for organizing the grooming supplies and tack cleaning equipment.
3. Wrap The Blanket Wraps
There are blankets, saddle pads as well as wraps which can easily slip off the metal blanket racks. Once these items fall onto floor, they will create much more clutter. For solving the problem, try to wrap the metal poles in Vetrap then hang up the blankets. This will prevent the blankets and saddle pads from slipping.
4. Organizing the tack room vertically
The tack room will not get larger so try to organize tack room equipment vertically. Install storage spaces right up the wall rather than having boxes on floor. Try to use pegboards or shelves for utilizing space.
